What Nobody on Payroll Will Tell You About Infusionsoft by Keap and ONTRAPORT

Why I Made This Little Website

Marketing online became a passion of mine back in 2004.

Having been around a little bit and used hundreds of tools in my business, I can speak candidly and thoroughly about ONTRAPORT vs Infusionsoft.

I started and ran a marketing services company since before marketing online was a cool thing to do. I recently sold that to focus on my supplement and speaking businesses.

All through the years I’ve met literally thousands of people who struggle with technology and struggle even more to know exactly what they need for their unique situations. I can relate. I’ve put in the years of work to learn it. It’s intimidating.

Truth is, answering the questions about Infusionsoft and ONTRAPORT became a little monotonous. So, I told myself I’d create the best resource on the entire internet for making this decision. That’s what I did.

I wanted to make this site so that I can point people here and be able to give real value to them without explaining the same things over and over… and saving myself time in the process while helping a lot people.

My goal. As I mention in my ONTRAPORT review, software companies aren’t good at providing the bare bones info you need to make a decision. Since that’s the case, my goal is to give you all the info I can, the good and the bad, while leaving the door open for you to ask questions specifically about you and your business and your needs.

If you’re like me, I hate shopping for software solutions probably more than you hate reading another “Infusionsoft review” (I promise I’ll make this one fun).

I hate it because I know exactly what I want but nobody gives enough detail about their service to make a half decent decision. Nobody does.

It’s always the choices about the heavy lifting kind of software that wears on you… like small business marketing automation software; ONTRAPORT and Infusionsoft.

I can imagine how agonizing it is for you to go through this investigative process because I’ve been through it several times myself and made enough poor choices to earn my badge of honor, the hard way.

You may or may not know exactly what you need, and that just makes the process more frustrating. If that’s you, please let me assist in any way I can. Just ask me your questions. I’m serious. Tell me your situation and I’ll do my best to point you straight based on experience with helping hundreds of people over the years.

No Free Trials with Infusionsoft or ONTRAPORT

Here’s what most software companies tell you to do instead of ask questions they don’t want to answer: “Sign up for a free trial, no credit card required” or… “get a demo from our sales guys.”

They do that because no company really has the gumption to give out unlimited info about their product upfront… so they just tease you with a few features that are over generalized. That leaves you with a bunch of questions and stress because you can’t find the answers and don’t want to be locked in to wrestle with a salesperson.

You’ll notice quickly that there’s a problem with that free trial thing when Infusionsoft and ONTRAPORT are concerned. You can’t “try” their products at all.

You must buy. There is no try. There is only buy or buy not.

But that’s exactly what has people in a tailspin.

Big decision… Big monthly bill… Big deal… But no details…

At least with ONTRAPORT there’s a money back guarantee if you don’t like it. Not so with Infusionsoft. It ain’t a cheap mistake if it turns out it’s not a fit for you. But there are ways to make it a cheaper mistake (See the Infusionsoft discount page on this site).

All this literally forces you to know what you want BEFORE you buy because you literally have to stick with your decision. That sucks.

That’s where both companies miss it and that’s why this site is here. You’ll love it.

So… which is best for you? That’s the tough question you’re usually left to sort out on your own through frustrating experience.

There is VERY little information on their site about the software so you really have no idea if Infusionsoft will be a good fit or if ONTRAPORT will fit the bill.

In the case of Infusionsoft, they have some great educational resources but there’s nothing left to do but talk to a trained sales rep. That can be intimidating for some people, but good if you like to negotiate.

For ONTRAPORT you just have to subscribe to check it out risk free. That’s relatively safe seeing how they let you test it out for 90 days. You can’t do that with Infusionsoft. There’s no sales rep to talk to either.

Ease the Tech Stress

I feel your tech pain. Finding the right solution is so critical and so annoying and so time wasting that people sit around for weeks or months trying to make the decision.

That’s why I hope this resource provides some great value for you because I’ve been through the same process you’re going through, many times.

Automation is a No-Brainer

I love automation, it’s so fun. The peace and confidence it gives you once it’s set up is amazing. And after you put in the work to set things up, the time freedom it provides is unbelievable. Your business could seem like a mega Fortune 100 company to the customer and it takes 0 additional time for you or your staff.

You can automate all kinds of stuff which frees you up to sit and dream about more things to automate 🙂 You can automate online sales funnels, follow up, internal tasks, CRM stuff, customer loyalty programs, contact management, credit card processing, membership sites, email marketing, newsletters… all kinds of stuff.

It’s all sexy to be sure and definitely appeals to the internet lifestyle. But don’t be sucked in by the idea of automation just because you think it’s cool. Your business needs to be at a point where it’ll really benefit from it.

  • Do you have $300/month to spend?
  • Can you invest a couple months of set up time?
  • Are you willing to put in the work or manage the work?

Reality check: If you think that grabbing a copy of Infusionsoft or ONTRAPORT is some magic potion that will crank up your business, you’re wrong. They won’t do jack crap for your business if you aren’t willing to put in the work.

It takes real work and sacrifice to automate a business and use these tools to their full extent. When you’re done you’ll be glad you invested the time and resources.

What you really wish is that someone would just tell you which one is best for you so you don’t have to mess with the details… get the detailed recommendations here

If you have questions I don’t cover… just ask me and I’ll answer plain and simple at no cost to you and no pressure and no sales pitch. I’m here to help.

In my case, turns out that the answer to my riddle question was BOTH. I use both Infusionsoft and ONTRAPORT every single day. That gives me a unique perspective.

I have two separate businesses and Infusionsoft is a good fit for my supplement business while ONTRAPORT works great for my speaking, coaching, and training info marketing business. I followed my own recommendation and I’m happy with my setup.

Though I love the companies and have great relationship with them, I don’t feel any irrational “brand loyalty” towards one or the other. They are tools.

I couldn’t careless which piece of software you choose. But what I do care about is that you don’t make the same mistakes I did and that you don’t waste months figuring all these little things out.

I did my homework and it was agonizing. You don’t have to go through that.

To make things easy, I’ve taken this intimidating choice and made it as simple as possible. I tell you in two seconds which piece of software is best for you.

Don’t let your head spin like a top until you get overwhelmed and end up doing nothing. Let me help. I’ve been where you’re at and have helped thousands of people find a good fit.

I even dig into Infusionsoft vs. Salesforce. Now that’s a clash of the titans.
